Silver Diamine Fluoride, or SDF, is an FDA-approved antibiotic liquid that, when applied to active tooth decay, can stop the decay from progressing further. SDF has been proven effective in ceasing the growth of decay until either the baby tooth is lost, or a more permanent means of treatment can be completed.
